4. Oppsett

4.1 Installasjon av batteri

The Wohler HBF 420 requires 4 AAA batteries for operation.

1. Finn batteridekselet på baksiden av enheten.
2. Skyv eller løsne dekselet for å åpne rommet.
3. Sett inn 4 AAA-batterier, og sørg for at polariteten (+/-) er riktig veiledet som angitt inni batterirommet.

5.1 Valg av målemodus

The HBF 420 supports two primary measurement techniques:

• Dielectric Measurement: For quick assessment of moisture in building materials. This mode uses the sensor on the back of the device.
• Motstandsmåling: For precise determination of moisture content in wood using the integrated pins.

Bruk M button to toggle between measurement modes. The display will indicate the active mode.

5.2 Ta en måling

1. For Dielectric Measurement: Place the back of the device flat against the surface of the material you wish to measure. Ensure full contact. The reading will appear on the display.
2. For Resistance Measurement (Wood): Carefully press the two measurement pins into the wood surface. Ensure both pins penetrate the material. The moisture content will be displayed.
3. Read the value on the digital display.

5.3 Temperaturkompensasjon

For accurate resistance measurements in wood, the device offers automatic temperature compensation. Enter the material temperature using the SETT button and navigation controls (if available, based on typical Wohler interfaces, assuming the SET button is for settings/calibration). Refer to the on-screen prompts for specific temperature input procedures.

5.4 Alarmfunksjon

The device features an alarm function (indicated by "ALARM" on the device). Consult the device's on-screen menu or specific button functions to set or adjust alarm thresholds for moisture levels.

6. Vedlikehold

6.1 Rengjøring

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the measurement pins are clean and free of residue after each use.
