4. Installasjon
This section provides general guidelines for installing your Respekta Boston Mineralite Sink. Professional installation is recommended. Ensure you have all necessary tools and materials before starting.
4.1 Required Tools and Materials:
- Stikksag eller passende skjæreverktøy for benkeplate
- Drill with hole saw for tap hole (if not pre-drilled)
- Sealant (silicone)
- Measuring tape, pencil, spirit level
- Screwdriver, adjustable wrench
- Personal protective equipment (gloves, safety glasses)
4.2 Installasjonstrinn:

Carefully measure and mark the cutout area on your countertop. The required cutout for this sink is approximately 84 x 48 cm. Use the provided template (if available) or the sink itself to trace the exact dimensions. Ensure the base cabinet has a minimum width of 45 cm to accommodate the sink.

- Cut the Countertop:
Using a jigsaw or appropriate cutting tool, carefully cut along the marked line. Support the cutout piece to prevent it from falling and causing damage.
- Drill Tap Hole (if necessary):
The sink does not come with pre-drilled tap holes, allowing for flexible faucet placement. Determine the desired location for your faucet and use a suitable hole saw to drill the tap hole. Ensure the hole size matches your faucet's specifications.

- Install Faucet and Drain Components:
Before placing the sink into the countertop, install the faucet, drain, and overflow components according to their respective manufacturer's instructions. Ensure all seals are correctly seated to prevent leaks.

- Position and Secure the Sink:
Apply a bead of silicone sealant around the edge of the countertop cutout. Carefully lower the sink into the opening. Ensure the sink is level. Use the included mounting clamps to secure the sink firmly to the underside of the countertop. The clamps are designed for countertops between 28 mm and 38 mm thick.

Connect the faucet water supply lines and the drain pipe to your household plumbing. Hand-tighten connections first, then use a wrench for a snug fit, being careful not to overtighten. Check for leaks by running water through the faucet and drain.

6. Vedlikehold og stell
Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your Mineralite sink. The material is designed for easy cleaning and high resistance to aggressive chemical agents.
6.1 Daglig rengjøring:
- Clean the sink regularly with warm water and a mild dish soap.
- Use a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive pads or brushes that could scratch the surface.
- Rinse thoroughly after cleaning to remove all soap residue.
- Wipe the sink dry with a clean cloth to prevent water spots, especially in hard water areas.
6.2 Stain Removal:
- For stubborn stains, a diluted solution of vinegar or a non-abrasive cream cleaner can be used.
- Apply the cleaner to a soft cloth, gently rub the stained area, then rinse thoroughly.
- Avoid leaving highly pigmented liquids (e.g., coffee, red wine) in the sink for extended periods, as they may cause temporary discoloration. Clean spills promptly.
6.3 General Care Tips:
- The Mineralite material is resistant to temperatures up to 180 °C. However, it is advisable to use a trivet or heat pad for extremely hot pots and pans to prevent thermal shock or potential damage over time.
