The Vertiv Liebert GXT5 UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) is a compact and efficient solution designed to ensure the health and availability of your IT infrastructure. Oppsett

1. Fysisk installasjon

The GXT5 UPS can be installed in a 2U rackmount configuration or as a tower. Ensure adequate space for ventilation and access to connections.

Rackmontert installasjon:

1. Attach the provided rackmount ears to the sides of the UPS using the screws.
2. Secure the UPS into a standard 19-inch equipment rack using appropriate rack screws.

Tårninstallasjon:

1. Attach the tower base to the bottom of the UPS.
2. Place the UPS on a stable, level surface in an upright position.

2. Batteritilkobling

The GXT5 UPS features hot-swappable batteries. Ensure the battery pack is securely connected before initial power-on.

3. Strømtilkobling

Connect the UPS to a grounded AC power outlet using the provided power cord. Ensure the outlet matches the UPS's voltage krav (120V).

4. Koble til enheter

Connect your critical equipment (servers, networking devices, etc.) to the output receptacles on the rear of the UPS. The UPS features four individual programmable output receptacles for device control and management.

5. Førstegangs oppstart

Press and hold the power button on the front panel until the display illuminates. The UPS will perform a self-test and then enter normal operation mode.

Normal drift

During normal operation, the UPS continuously cleans and conditions the incoming AC power before supplying it to your connected equipment. The internal battery is simultaneously charged and maintained.

Batterimodus

I tilfelle en strøm outage or interruption, the Liebert GXT5 will seamlessly switch to battery power, providing continuous power to your connected loads. An alarm will sound, and notifications will be sent via the monitoring application (if configured). The display will show the remaining battery runtime.

Programmable Output Sockets

The GXT5 allows you to prioritize battery utilization through its programmable and controllable output sockets. This feature is crucial during extended power outages to maximize runtime for critical loads.

Using the monitoring application, you can remotely turn off socket groups connected to non-critical loads, or program the UPS to automatically turn off specific socket groups at a pre-defined battery level. This increases the battery runtime for your essential critical loads, providing more time to resolve power issues or activate backup generators.
