2. Oppsett og montering

Your Mountfield MTF 84M riding mower requires some assembly before its first use. Follow these steps carefully.

2.1. Pakker ut

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the packing list are present. Keep packaging materials until assembly is complete.

2.2. Rattmontering

1. Mount the steering wheel onto the shaft protruding from the dashboard.
2. Secure the steering wheel using the provided pin.

2.3. Batteritilkobling

Important: Connect the battery before initial use for electric starting.

1. Locate the battery compartment, typically under the seat or hood.
2. Connect the positive (+) terminal (red cable) and then the negative (-) terminal (black cable) to the battery posts.

1. Drivstofftank: Fill with unleaded gasoline (essence sans plomb). Refer to the fuel tank cap for recommended fuel type.
2. Oljereservoar: Check the engine oil level and fill with recommended SAE30 oil if necessary.

3.1. Kontroller overview

• Tenningsnøkkel: Starter og stopper motoren.

3.2. Starte motoren

1. Sørg for at klipperen står på en jevn overflate og at parkeringsbremsen er aktivert.
2. Sett girkassen i nøytral.
3. Engage the choke (for cold starts).
4. Sett inn tenningsnøkkelen og vri den til «PÅ»-posisjon.
5. Trykk på bremsepedalen.
6. Turn the ignition key to the 'START' position until the engine starts. Release the key once the engine is running.
7. Gradually disengage the choke as the engine warms up.

3.3. Gressklipping

The MTF 84M features an 84 cm cutting width and a 200-liter grass collector, suitable for areas up to 3,000 m².

1. Juster klippehøyden: Use the cutting height adjustment lever to select one of the 7 positions (25-80 mm) according to your lawn's condition and desired grass length.
2. Aktiver knivene: Once the engine is running and you are ready to mow, engage the cutting blades using the blade engagement lever.
3. Select Gear: Use the manual transmission to select a forward speed. The mower has 5 forward and 1 reverse gear.
4. Mow: Drive the mower at a consistent speed, overlapping each pass slightly to ensure an even cut.
5. Gressinnsamling: The 200-liter rear collector will gather clippings. Monitor its fill level and empty it when full.
6. Mulching: A mulching plug is included, allowing you to recycle grass clippings back into the lawn as natural fertilizer.

3.4. Stopp av motoren
