Regular replacement of these wax filters is crucial for maintaining optimal hearing aid performance and sound clarity. This manual provides instructions for the correct handling and replacement of your Connexx Waxguards.
Each pack contains 8 Connexx Waxguards 3.0 Nanocare filters. These filters are compatible with the latest Signia and Rexton RIC (Receiver-In-Canal) hearing aids, as well as TruHearing and MiracleEar devices.
2. Setup and Replacement
To ensure proper function of your hearing aid, replace the wax guard when sound becomes muffled or the hearing aid stops working. A new Connexx 3.0 Nano Care wax filter is attached to a matchstick-sized disposable tool.
2.1 Identifying the Wax Guard Tool

2.2 Utskiftingsprosedyre
- Klargjør verktøyet: Take one disposable tool from the pack. One end of the tool has a new white wax guard, and the other end is a removal tip (often black or a different color).
- Remove Old Wax Guard: Insert the removal tip of the tool into the center of the old wax guard on your hearing aid's receiver. Gently pull straight out to remove the used wax guard. Dispose of the used wax guard immediately.
- Insert New Wax Guard: Turn the tool around. Insert the new white wax guard end of the tool into the opening where the old wax guard was removed. Push gently until the new wax guard is securely in place.
- Fjern verktøy: Pull the tool straight out, leaving the new wax guard in the hearing aid. Dispose of the used tool.
- Test Hearing Aid: After replacement, test your hearing aid to ensure sound clarity has been restored.
Note: Handle the wax guards and hearing aid with clean, dry hands to prevent contamination.
3. Vedlikehold
Regular maintenance of your hearing aid, including timely wax guard replacement, is essential for its longevity and performance.
- Utskiftningsfrekvens: It is recommended to replace Connexx Waxguards monthly, or immediately if you notice a decrease in sound quality or complete loss of sound from your hearing aid.
- Rengjøring: Do not attempt to clean or reuse old wax guards. They are designed for single use.
- Lagring: Store unused wax guards in their original manufacturer-sealed packaging in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
4. Feilsøking
If you experience issues with your hearing aid after replacing the wax guard, consider the following:
