About MiniMed manuals on Manuals.plus
MiniMed is the premier line of insulin pump systems and diabetes management solutions manufactured by Medtronic. Originally founded as an independent company and acquired by Medtronic in 2001, the MiniMed brand has revolutionized type 1 diabetes care with innovations like the MiniMed 780G and 770G systems. These devices integrate SmartGuard™ technology to automate insulin delivery and help prevent both hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia, offering users greater freedom and control over their glucose levels.
The MiniMed ecosystem includes sophisticated continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensors, such as the Guardian Sensor 3 and 4, which communicate directly with the pump to adjust background insulin. Alongside the hardware, MiniMed provides digital health tools like the CareLink™ Personal software and the MiniMed™ Mobile app, allowing patients and healthcare providers to track data, view reports, and optimize therapy settings remotely.

MiniMed support FAQ
Vanlige spørsmål om manualer, registrering og støtte for dette merket.
-
How often should I change the MiniMed Mio Advance infusion set and reservoir?
The MiniMed Mio Advance infusion set and reservoir are designed to be used for up to three days. It is recommended to change both at the same time to ensure optimal insulin delivery and site health.
-
What is SmartGuard technology on the MiniMed 780G and 740G systems?
SmartGuard technology helps prevent low glucose levels by automatically suspending insulin delivery when sensor glucose is predicted to approach a low limit. In advanced hybrid closed-loop systems like the 780G, it can also auto-correct high glucose levels.
-
Can I change just the reservoir without changing the infusion set?
Yes, if your reservoir runs out of insulin before the infusion set needs changing (before 3 days), you can use the 'New Reservoir Only' option on your pump. However, the infusion set must still be replaced once it has been in use for three days.
-
How do I clean my MiniMed insulin pump?
Use a mild detergent and water solution to wipe down the outside of the pump. Do not place the pump under running water or submerge it, and avoid using organic solvents like lighter fluid or nail polish remover.
-
Hvor kan jeg view my diabetes data online?
MiniMed users can upload their pump and sensor data to the CareLink Personal software either via the MiniMed Mobile app or by connecting their device to a computer. This allows users and healthcare professionals to view detailed reports and trends.
