3. Oppsett og tilkoblinger

Carefully follow the instructions below for proper installation and connection of the decoding board. Ensure all power is disconnected before making any connections.

3.2 Koblingsskjema

Refer to the detailed wiring diagram for all electrical connections. Pay close attention to polarity where indicated, although the main power input is non-polar.

  • Strøminngang (DC IN): Connect 5-20V DC power. The board supports non-polarized input.
  • Bluetooth Antenna (BT ANT 2.4G): Connect the included 2.4G Bluetooth antenna for optimal signal reception.
  • Key Control (KEY VOL-, KEY VOL+, KEY PLAY): Connect external buttons for volume control and playback functions.
  • USB-lyd: Connect to a computer via USB for audio decoding.
  • IIS Output (MCK OUT, BCK OUT, LRCK OUT, DATA OUT, GND): Standard 4-wire IIS output. If your decoding chip does not require MCK, it can be left unconnected.
  • SPDIF Output (SPDIF OUT, GND): Connect to a coaxial digital input on your ampkjøler eller DAC.
  • SPDIF Input (SPDIF IN, GND): Connect external coaxial digital audio sources.
  • Indicator Light (LED+, LED-): Connect an external LED for status indication.

Important Note on Input Switching:

The board supports switching between coaxial and IIS inputs using jump caps. However, any change to the jump cap configuration requires the board to be re-powered for the new setting to take effect.

4. Drift

4.1 Bluetooth-tilkobling

  1. Ensure the board is powered on. The Bluetooth connection light (11 in Figure 3) will flash, indicating it is ready for pairing.
  2. On your source device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), search for Bluetooth devices. The Bluetooth name will be "QCC3084" or "QCC5181".
  3. Select the appropriate Bluetooth name to pair. Once successfully connected, the Bluetooth connection light will remain steadily on.

4.2 Input Priority and Automatic Switching

The board prioritizes Bluetooth input. If a Bluetooth connection is active, it will play audio from the Bluetooth source.

  • If Bluetooth is not connected, the board can decode audio from the computer's USB input.
  • If the Bluetooth connection is disconnected, the board will automatically switch to other available inputs, such as the sound card IIS or coaxial input.

4.3 Key Control

If external key control lines are connected (5 in Figure 3), you can use them to:

  • Adjust volume (KEY VOL+, KEY VOL-)
  • Control playback (KEY PLAY for play/pause)

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your decoding board, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • If experiencing intermittent Bluetooth connection, try relocating the antenna or the board to a less obstructed area.
