De Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System is a breakthrough technology for individuals with Type 1 diabetes. Developed by Insulet Corporation, it is the first tubeless system that automatically adjusts insulin delivery by integrating directly with a continuous glucose monitor (CGM), such as the Dexcom G6 or G7.
The system consists of a waterproof, wearable Pod and the Omnipod 5 App, which can be controlled via a provided handheld controller or a compatible smartphone. Featuring SmartAdjust technology, the system predicts glucose levels 60 minutes into the future and adjusts insulin delivery every five minutes to help protect against highs and lows day and night.
